She is the recipient of numerous awards, grants, and commissions, holding degrees from The Juilliard School (studying with Vincent Persichetti), and UNC School of the Arts (studying with Robert Ward and Sherwood Shaffer). Clayden currently performs as a soloist and teacher, and in 2014 he was awarded a Certificate in Human Psychology by Bishop's University.
